Instructions to Care for your Puppy
It is very important to care for your new chihuahua puppy properly. They acquire a lot of time and money to raise. They need lots of your attention and love. Tiny Chihuahuas can have hypoglycemic attacks if not taken care of properly. This is when there blood sugar goes down. This is very serious and could cause death. It must be treated in a timely matter.I keep nutri-cal available just in case. This is a brown sticky sweet substance in a tube and can be found at your local vets office. Just give your puppy a finger full of nutri-cal when you think they may have an attack or as soon as you realize that they are having an attack. A hypoglycemic attack can be brought on by stress, or poor eating. You must make sure that your puppy has adequate food and water available to him or her at all times. And make sure you keep the puppy calm and as free from stress as possible during the transition period to the new home. And do not forget I am here for you for any questions you have. But if you feel your pup is in danger and needs help right away please take him or her to your local vet right away. Do not wait to contact me. Safety of the puppy is always first. I do not guarantee against hypoglycemic attacks. This is something that can be prevented by good care giving by the buyer. You will not find a breeder who will guarantee against hypoglycemic attacks. Keep your puppy up to date on all shots and make sure to give him or her wormer meds to keep them from getting any type of worms.Take your new puppy to the vet regularly and be sure to put front line on your new puppy to keep him or her from getting ticks. good luck with your new forever friend!
